Legendary DJ Gene Hunt and Uptown Lounge present “Uptown Friday Nites,” a bi-monthly event featuring Resident DJ Mr. Gene Hunt. Since the creation of “House” in Chicago during the 1980’s, this liberating music has grown to encompass genre on subgenre styles including Deep, Tech, Latin, Progressive, Ghetto, Soulful, Disco, etc.. The DJ’s featured at “Uptown Friday Nites” are excited to share their House Music experiences and exhibit their own individual styles and techniques while showing gratitude for the city where House was born.

Featured DJ’s: Czboogie, Paul Johnson, Gant-Man and Resident Gene Hunt

Artists performing: Dajae (“You Got Me Up and Brighter Days”), Curtis McClain (“Move Your Body”) and Kim Jay (“Have a Good Time”).

“Uptown Friday Nites” promises to be a night of innovative and creative DJ sets, performing artist and other surprises. About Gene Hunt: Gene Hunt is truly one of Chicago’s Pioneers in the house music industry since the early 80’s.  He has been one of the top jocks moving and educating crowds and music lovers for the past 20 years of his career playing at the hottest venues such as the Warehouse, The Music Box, Medusa’s, The Playground, Green Dolphin and many more.  This legend has worked with some of the heaviest hitters in the game such as Ron Hardy, Farley Jack Master Funk, Robert Owens, Mr. Fingers Larry Heard, Terry Hunter and Kenny Dope of M.A.W.  “I am from the old school. I have seen many eras of house change over the years and I know what the people want,” says Gene.
